Fort Sill Family & MWR | November & December 2024 4 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT Fort Sill Family & MWR is happy to feature our wonderful team members! ABIGAIL STARR Financial Management Technician Abigail Starr joined the MWR family on July 11, 2024, driven by a strong desire to engage more deeply with the community, particu- larly Military Families, by providing them valuable information about available activities, resources, and programs. With a background in finance, she saw this as the perfect opportunity to grow while serv- ing others. Prior to joining MWR, Abigail worked for five years as an Administrative Assistant at a manpower agency in the Philippines and then moved on to AAFES as a Food Service Supervisor from 2019 to 2024. Originally from Passi City, Philippines, Abigail moved to the United States in 2017 as a cultural exchange student and became a Military spouse in 2018. Since PCS'ing to Fort Sill in 2022, she's enjoyed her time cooking up a storm in her free time. She even turned her pas- sion for Filipino cuisine into a business called The Filipino StreetFood, proudly serving the Lawton community. Her husband, David, who is currently active duty, is her biggest supporter in all her endeavors. Abigail looks forward to embracing each day as an opportunity to grow and excel in her new role at MWR. DAWSON DUDARK Commercial Sponsorship & Advertising Executive Dawson Dudark, a native of Elgin, Oklahoma, joined MWR after discovering the organization's impact and strong community con- nections. With a passion for engaging with others and a background in sports marketing, he saw this role as an exciting opportunity to build on his skills and get more plugged into the community. Daw- son earned his bachelor's degree in sports marketing and a master's degree in business administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan. His past work experiences, particularly with colleagues who were deeply involved in the community, inspired him to pursue a path that would allow him to develop similar connections and make a positive impact in his hometown. He believes this role will challenge him, helping him grow both per- sonally and professionally. Coming from a family with deep roots in the area, Dawson values quality time with loved ones and embraces opportunities to connect in meaningful ways. In his free time, he enjoys attending sporting events, concerts, and discovering new shows or movies. Dawson also has a love for art and writing, which he finds relaxing and fulfilling. When he's not out and about, he enjoys quiet evenings at home with his fiancée. Though he doesn't currently have any pets, he has fond memories of growing up with both cats and dogs, and he proudly considers himself "Team Both." Dawson is excited about the opportunity to form relationships with businesses and organizations across Lawton and Fort Sill.
