3 Fort Sill LIVING | Welcome Friends! Fort Sill is a beautiful military installation, and we welcome you to what many consider to be the best installation in the world. Nestled in the foothills of the Wichita Mountains, the charm, history, and natural beauty of Oklahoma offer you and your family the perfect opportunity to explore and learn about Great Plains Country. Please venture out into our community and enjoy the many aractions we have closely located to our installation, such as the beautiful Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and the lile cobblestone community, Medicine Park. We are busy planning a host of spring events like Month of the Military Child, the Fort Sill Western Heritage Days, which will include a concert from country music stars Big and Rich, our Polo Match and the summer concert. We want our Soldiers and families to understand that Family and MWR knows the importance of providing quality of life opportunities while you are stationed at Fort Sill. If your family likes to stay active, there's plenty in store for you here. Fort Sill is a sunny place to live – literally! And many families take full advantage of this with outdoor sports and recreation such as hiking, archery, fishing, tennis and golf. If your family prefers indoor activities, we offer bowling, aerobics, yoga and a community library. If you are looking to volunteer or perhaps learn a new skill – stop by our Army Community Services office and learn about the new Soldier and Family Resiliency class. If you are new to the military, consider taking advantage of the classes available through Army Family Team Building Program. Our volunteer coordinator is available to show you the variety of opportunities you can get involved with like volunteering as a youth coach for one of our many youth sports activities. If you need child care, our Child Development and School Age Centers are nationally accredited. Stop by one of the centers to see how the center staff consistently offers the highest quality of care with dedication to our most precious resource, military children. When you're ready to relax with friends at an elegant Sunday Brunch or enjoy the camaraderie at our monthly "Family and Friends" dinner, MWR is proud to serve you at the historic Patriot Club. I encourage you to visit us at www.sillmwr.com to get the latest update on all we have planned for you to enjoy. With lots to see and do here, we hope you and your family enjoy making Fort Sill your new home. Respectfully, Brenda Spencer-Ragland Director of Family and Morale Welfare and Recreation
