Welcome/Opening Remarks. a. Ms. Cheryl Foster, SillF ACTS Coordinator, welcomed attendees and visitors. All were reminded the meeting is recorded for use in preparation of the official minutes. Attendees who wish to receive electronic SillF ACTS information were asked to provide an email address to Ms. Foster via yellow cards on the tables or send an email to cheryl.o.anderson.civ@mail.mil. The entire SillF ACTS packet is available for viewing and/or downloading from the Family and MWR website at http: //www.sill.armymwr.com ; click on the SillFACTS tab at the bottom of the page. Additional information about SillFACTS may be obtained by calling Ms. Foster at 580 - 442-3113. b. Mr. Daniel Farrell, Installation Volunteer Coordinator, presented the September installation volunteers nominated for recognition. Each volunteer was recognized and presented a certificate of appreciation by COL and Ms . Wasmund and CSM Fagan. Reynolds Army Health Clinic (RAHC) Update . (1) Suicide Prevention Awareness. Point of contact is Mr. Terry Martinez, (580) 442-4832. September is Suicide Awareness Month. The Army has twenty-two suicides a day. One Soldier dies by suicide every one and a half days. Everyone needs to know the signs, and seek help. If you observe an increase in alcohol or drug abuse, work-related, financial, or relationship stressors in your Soldiers, let them know you care and offer verbal support. If someone says they are thinking of killing themselves , escort them to the Chaplain ' s Office or Behavioral Health Services. Fort Sill has taken a huge leap on suicide awareness, from the CG down. The 2016 DOD annual report on confirmed 12 7 Army suicides in 2016 , which is more than any other branch of service. Fort Si ll had one suicide at Fort Sill in 2016. Total suicides across DOD in 2016 totaled 275. Everyone needs to work to prevent them. There are embedded behavioral health teams that can help. The on-call Behavioral Emergency Line is 5 80-704-5131. The Suicide Prevention Hotline is 1-800-273 -8255 or 1-800-784 -2433.
