Match Rules
6. Ammunition:
PISTOL & RIFLE AMMUNITION REQUIREMENTS:
a. Pistol ammunition shall be 9mm Luger minimum.
b. Rifle ammunition shall be .223 Remington minimum
c. Pistol and rifle cartridges must fire a single projectile only.
d. A violation of this rule will be deemed unsportsmanlike conduct and result in a match DQ.
e. Tracer, incendiary, armor piercing or steel/tungsten/composite core projectiles are NOT
allowed and are prohibited from use. Your projectiles must NOT stick to a magnet.
Note: If the target is damaged or destroyed the competitor will be required to pay and/or replace
the damaged target.
SHOTGUN AMMUNITION REQUIREMENTS:
a. Shotgun ammunition can only be 20ga or 12ga.
b. Birdshot is the primary ammunition for shotgun and shall be #5 Lead Shot or smaller, 7 ½ is
average.
c. Slugs shall be 1 ½ oz. Lead Slug or smaller.
d. Buckshot will NOT be used in this competition.
Note: Use of steel shot on steel is considered a safety violation and will result in a match DQ.
