Match Rules 3. Sportsmanship & Conduct a. Participants and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous, sportsman- like manner at all times. Disputes will be handled promptly and fairly by the Match Director. b. Violation of magazine/ammunition limitations in Tactical Classes will result in the shooter being placed in the most restricted class the equipment fits for the entire match or Match Disqualification, at the discretion of the Match Director. c. RO's will assess additional "unsportsmanlike conduct" penalties of double FTE penalties to competitors that intentionally fail to make a good faith effort to engage AND HIT targets in order to gain advantage. d. Coaching by other competitors is discouraged and spotting is NOT allowed and is considered "unsportsmanlike conduct." e. The Match Director shall be the final arbiter of any such penalties. f. For any controversy not precisely described in these rules, the "spirit of the rules" will be applied to settle the matter. The "spirit of the rules" is a fair and equitable opportunity for all the competitors to demonstrate their skills. In the Spirit of 3- Gun, we ask all competitors to apply the "Spirit of the Rules" to their conduct and shooting plans as well. SCHEDULE: No competitor will compete for score other than with their assigned squad on assigned dates. Occasionally, stages will clear squads early, so if your entire squad is available and the RO approves, the squad will be allowed to shoot ahead of schedule. INSPECTION: When the entire squad is assembled, a brief stage walk-through will be given, followed by a five- minute inspection and question period. (WITHOUT WEAPONS) The Shooters may negotiate obstacles only during this five-minute inspection period. Early inspection is permitted by the squad next scheduled to shoot a stage, providing that the previous squad is finished and time permits. Please stay off the stages unless it's your squad's turn to shoot SET STEEL AND TAPE TARGETS: Competitors are expected to stay together as a squad to help tape and set steel. This will help maintain efficiency on each stage, and we do appreciate your help. COMPETITOR AGREEMENT: By competing in this event, you attest that you have read, you understand and you agree to comply with the match rules and regulations. CHANGING GUNS: Changing guns during the match without first obtaining permission is unsportsmanlike conduct. If you need to change guns, please contact the Range Master. MATCH SCORING: Time plus Penalties using Practiscore will be used to score the match. If there are scoring questions, check your math first. If there is still a scoring question, contact the stage RO or the Range Master for assistance immediately prior to leaving the stage. 9
